Lazy, yet productive
Good morning, good day, good evening, everyone. I hope this post finds you all well. As per the norm on Memorial day, it is presently raining and so I have decided to take the time and make an entry on my blog while I upload some files on my server. I’ve been working on doing this for the last couple of days, and I think I’ve finally gotten it to work properly. The good news is that I’m learning about FTP along the way. As a backup, I’m also uploading it to a shared folder on Dropbox, just in case. I can’t really go any longer without getting these photos to the Monchichi so they can start working on the album cover. I’m excited to see how it turns out.As for the shoot, I think for a first-timer I did okay. The lighting wasn’t the greatest and the space was sort of cramped, but we made it work. I definitely learned a lot and will apply that to any future shoots that I may choose to do. The thing is that I’m not wanting to be a photographer for hire. I want to just take pictures of what I like and share it with the world. I know there is money to be made with this and maybe one day I will. However, it will more than likely be selling prints of pictures I’ve taken either walking around or at public events. I’m truthfully not caring about the money. I just want to do what I love.
I’m also excited for our upcoming trip. The hotel is booked, the car reservation is made and from now on, all systems are a go. It is going to be fantastic. Ideally, I would love to be able to go for a longer period, however we do what we can and a long weekend will be plenty. Besides, I don’t want to take up my whole vacation running around. I’m also looking forwards to just staying home and being easy. I’ve always loved me a staycation. I think everyone should give themselves some down time.
It’s been a great long weekend so far. For the most part I’ve been rather productive, editing photos and such. I’ve met some great people and good connections. I’ve also managed on doing a bit of lazy along they way. Personally I think it’s been a perfect blend of both. It is all about finding the middle ground and as with everything else, always in moderation.
