It’s about the moments
Is life perfect? Not by a long shot. We all have our hopes and aspirations. We have both dreams and disappointments. We love and we loathe. There’s likes and dislikes, drama and joys. Life is what it is and it is all encompassing. It’s what makes the lows sting and the highs, exhilarating. Where am I going with this? I’ll tell you. Life is about the moments. While some are sweet and some are not, it’s important to hold on to your experiences regardless of how minute they may seem. After all, when it’s all said and done, it’s not the money nor the popularity, it is the moments that make us.
As for me, things aren’t as I would like right now. There’s been obstacles upon obstacles and yet, I continue on. Grace under fire. I am not just a survivor or a champion. I am a conqueror, a goddess. And because of that, I refuse to allow the downfalls of life keep me from not only enjoying life, but loving it. Despite the setbacks and pains, I cherish the experiences good or bad for they enrich my life. And most recently, this past week. A semi spontaneous road trip courtesy of my bestie in honor of my upcoming born day.
Not only was it my Fizgig’s first ever road trip, we had front row center seats to a burlesque Prince tribute (I may or may not have a slight crush on Nikki). It was a great show by some lovely ladies and I throughly enjoyed it. The next night we took part in a fundraiser for the employees of Pulse Nightclub. While I felt incredibly sad standing in the spot where so many lives were senselessly taken, I was absolutely taken away by how the city has come together to not only show their support, but how despite the tragedy they are standing strong and united. It was amazing to say the least. I only wish I could have done more to personally help.
Alas, the trip was only for a short time and despite our fun, it was time to come back to my lovely little hometown of Miami. Even though we were only gone for three days, I missed my little old man and was so glad to get back home and to get my cuddle on. Moral of this post, life is short whether it’s good or bad times. Learn what you can when the going is rough, and treasure the good when it’s present. BE HERE NOW.
With love,
