ThreeSixFive
What is another revolution without a celebration? I’m not speaking of a party. I’m talking about celebrating the days of your life. If you can’t be this extra on your born day, when can you?

Perhaps the term environment might not be the best choice of wording, or maybe just the right phrase indeed.

Hello all you beautiful people. It’s the Queen checking in after a lovely birthday weekend. I was just sitting here thinking how it isn’t until recently that my birthdays have been something I’ve looked forward to. For the longest time, I had thought that despite my birthday landing on two lucky numbers, I was surely dealt a shitty deck when it came to celebrating my birth anniversary. That is until recently. Last year began something that has turned the outlook on my birthday completely around. Maybe it has to do with my cutting the bullshit out of my life, or maybe it’s been my attitude in general, I am not sure. Regardless of what the reasoning for it is, I am thankful.
This Thanksgiving day was a bittersweet day for the family. For years we have wanted to get together for the holidays, yet there has always been an issue or another that has prevented it. This year, with the passing of my aunt, we have decided that we would gather in her honor and memory. Though I enjoyed the time together with my family, I sorely missed her presence. I know that she was with us in spirit. Still, I missed her and I’m feeling it today. I am, however, thankful that there is still love.
There was no way to know, no way to even begin to guess, what last Sunday and all of this past week would hold for myself and for my family. It is so surreal. What began as just an everyday visit to my grandparent’s house with my mother, turned out to be one of the last times I would see my loving aunt alive. I’m still in shock as to how quickly it came to be. No longer will I be getting daily calls checking to see if I made it safely to where I was going. No more receiving care packages of love just because she was thinking of me.
Hello readers. As usual, I haven’t been around much. I have to say that between my life, my photography and my job, I haven’t had much time for social networks. I try to be around as much as possible, though to be honest, I have my priorities. Besides, I am always within reach to my friends. Not to digress, however, back to this post. I have been on a bit of a roller coaster as of late. There has been a couple of decisions I have had to make and I have had a sick doggie. The bright side is, all has worked out quite lovely. The doggie is healthy and sound despite having 16 teeth removed. I suppose it is the unfortunately causalities of getting old. He’s doing absolutely perfect though and pretty much back to his old self. As for me, I might be getting older, however I am by no means old, not yet anyways. There will be plenty of time to get old later.

Over the course of the last couple of months I have reached some very important markers in my life. You know the ones I mean, those deciding moments that alter the course and progression of your life. I’ve recently experienced several of those exact moments. It is like puzzle pieces clicking in to place perfectly. Read more “It’s about time” →
Hello hello all. It’s the Queen checking in on her 37th born day. Let me just start off by saying that this has been the greatest birthday I have yet to experience. It was an amazing night with a group of wonderful friends and family. There were some that were unable to make it, though I know they were there with me in spirit and I held them in my thoughts the night as well. As for those that were there, you all rock and I love you all. A special thanks and gratitude to Urban Rebel. Not only did they have an incredible show, they showed me such massive love that I could not help but blush. It felt wonderful to be around such great energy, both on stage and off. With all the journal type posts I’ve been writing lately, I wonder some times. Do people actually give a crap what’s going on in a complete stranger’s life, or is it purely for entertainment value? It’s more than likely the latter, however, it really does not matter the reasons why some read my entries. I post what I post to share some of my experiences and the lessons I’ve learned along this journey because there is always the possibility my experiences helping one of my readers out. I believe one should not be greedy with knowledge and life is a lesson to be learned. Read more “What a day” →
