Only one way to soothe my soul

There really is only one way for me and that’s music. Last night my Wolf and I went to go see Depeche Mode. All I can keep saying to myself is wow, what am amazing night. These guys were fantastic and I’m still fangirling this morning. I have been wanting to go see DM in concert since I was a teenager and last night I finally had the opportunity. It was and is completely worth having stayed out late on a Sunday night and going on only 3 hours of sleep this morning. What a performance. And Dave, he is the epitome of sexy. Between his voice, naked torso and his butt wiggle, I was swooning all night.

This weekend came and went far too quickly. Between working late on Friday and having to go in the office on a Saturday. I was really only left with one day off. Lucky for me it was an amazing day. Not only did I actually get to sleep in, I was able to spend some girl time with the beautiful and insanely sweet, MamaJax.

Nothing beats a lazy Sunday. Well to be honest, I’m not entirely being lazy. I am now in the process of going through some 500 photos taken Friday night at Moonchine Bistro. Man, what a night. All 3 bands were fantastic. The Erick Vick Band, Barrioactivo and Urban Rebel all rocked it, though I’m tipping my hat to Urban Rebel again. Those guys never fail to impress. Even on such a tiny stage, they took over and shut it down.

I am an animal person. I love just about any animal I have ever known, as well as those I’ve never had the pleasure of interacting with. It’s been said I own a zoo, though truth be told, it has been reduced. I have brought my numbers to 3 boas, 3 cats and one dog. I think if you would have to name one animal I do not care for, it would have to be a cockroach. Those just plain out disgust me. While I would love to have more pets, my present living conditions limit that wish. I want a varying range of animals, however the first on my list would have to be another dog. I would love to have a hybrid or a bully, I just don’t have a large enough home for anything other than my present menagerie.

Awake, awakened

This past Friday was a night of epicness. Yes, I know that is not a word, though it should be. Who do I speak to about that? Anyways, I digress, back to Friday night. What an incredibly special night it was at Will Call in Miami. Urban Rebel premiered their video for the song “Awake”. Although we had gotten a sneaky peak of it atan earlier show, I was really excited to see it on a screen and not a phone.

Hello hello all. It’s the Queen checking in on her 37th born day. Let me just start off by saying that this has been the greatest birthday I have yet to experience. It was an amazing night with a group of wonderful friends and family. There were some that were unable to make it, though I know they were there with me in spirit and I held them in my thoughts the night as well. As for those that were there, you all rock and I love you all. A special thanks and gratitude to Urban Rebel. I wish there was more time. More time to learn, more time to live. It seems we spend the majority of our lives at work and the rest of it with chores and other responsibilities. Gratitude

The weekend has ended, it’s back to work again tomorrow. Busy season at my job lasts for months and though usually exhausted by the end of the week, you try to enjoy the opportunities that life throws your way. It was certainly that time this weekend. Despite the insane amount of work that I’ve had in the past couple of weeks, this weekend we were to get out and attend a show from my favorite local band, Urban Rebel. This group is phenomenal and they are going to go far. The sky is the limit for this group and I’m excited at the very thought of it. From the very moment that show begins they instantly grab your attention with their high energy and their passion. Have I mentioned how talented they are? Enough can’t be said about appreciation and gratitude, yet so often there is none. Human beings have become so greedy. Now it is not about “thank you”, nor “I appreciate it”. It has become more of a “well, now that you did that, can you do this?” People expect so much, yet offer so little. The sadder part of it is they dare then complain when someone says they cannot. Perhaps I’m speaking too generally. Maybe it is only I that seems to attract this type of persona; who knows, I might have the word “sucker” written on my forehead. Regardless, it gets old. One can only do so much for another before they begin to take away from themselves. The least someone else can do is acknowledge and be grateful for that being done. Read more “Reflection” →
