Quite some time has passed since my last entry and perhaps one day soon I will make it a point to share more of my writings with the world although today is not that day. This post is more of a marker for me. My way of bringing this calendar year to a close and placing a dot on this journey is called life.

What can I say, 2013, you taught me a lot about myself. You’ve given me love and have taken it away. You’ve allowed me to grow and to experience. 2013, you have come and are now gone, and it is time to begin a new year. I am thankful for the lessons you have taught me, though in all honestly, I am happy to move forward. This past year was filled with joy and with tragedy, love and despair. As with all of life, the darkness and the light. As for this year, I have a few goals already in place for the new year, and I am very excited to start working towards them. I don’t know what the future holds for me, though I will continue to march on towards my goals.
