A thought
I haven’t written in a while. Between one thing and the other, it seems that the days turn into nights and the nights turn into days. I have a pretty stacked set of goals and they will be accomplished even if it means burning the midnight oil from time to time. Still, I make it a point to live in the moment and treasure those moments, always.

A thought
Hello all you beautiful people. It’s the Queen checking in after a lovely birthday weekend. I was just sitting here thinking how it isn’t until recently that my birthdays have been something I’ve looked forward to. For the longest time, I had thought that despite my birthday landing on two lucky numbers, I was surely dealt a shitty deck when it came to celebrating my birth anniversary. That is until recently. Last year began something that has turned the outlook on my birthday completely around. Maybe it has to do with my cutting the bullshit out of my life, or maybe it’s been my attitude in general, I am not sure. Regardless of what the reasoning for it is, I am thankful.
A thought
Lately I’ve felt the urge to write, to express what’s locked within my core. The words, however, escape me. There are no words it seems. How can one articulate what truly lies beneath when words are so quickly misunderstood? Words, like photographs, are left to interpretation. What is there, what was created and how it’s perceived. I don’t know what one sees when they look at one of my pictures and in the same regard, they don’t know what I saw when capturing the image.

Hello there, world. It’s me again, checking in quickly before calling it a night. I’ve been the busy queen today. Actually, I’ve had my hands tied this entire weekend, though it has been very well worth it. Friday night we went out to check out our favorite local band, Urban Rebel, with some friends. It has been far too long since I’ve checked out any local music and I was needing my fix. So we got dolled up, jumped in the Mini Love and headed out for the night. I love having wheels and Bubo is far too cute. He’s my trusty little steed.

Hello again, readers. I know it’s been weeks, if not months, of very sporadic posts on my part. It is not my intention to be away for so long, though I will admit that I have not had much time even to myself as of late. My to-do list has reached its longest point in a long time and mix in some 50+ work hours every week and that does not allow for much time at all. So far it has proven to be quite worth it. Well, not really in the job department, rather more so in my personal life. I have a lot of things “taken care of” so to speak. For one thing, I have somewhat been able to return to my photography.
A thought
This weekend came and went far too quickly. Between working late on Friday and having to go in the office on a Saturday. I was really only left with one day off. Lucky for me it was an amazing day. Not only did I actually get to sleep in, I was able to spend some girl time with the beautiful and insanely sweet, MamaJax.

Today was a great day. Funny to think of it like that when its pointed out that I spent the day driving around in a van converted in to what I call the “death cab”. You see, my significant other is a cremator by trade. It’s what he does for a living. Read more “Death cab for cutie”
